While we'd be more interested in hearing about Nvidia's 40nm products, the latest info regarding the Santa Clara goblin's doings is about the GeForce GTX 295, namely a cheaper to produce, single-PCB version of the company's top performer. Set to feature the same specifications as the current, dual-PCB model - 576 MHz GPU, 1242 MHz shaders, 1792MB of GDDR3 memory @ 1998 MHz, the upcoming dual-GPU model will have a dual-slot cooler bearing one fan covering its front and a backplate, two DVI ports and will require extra power via one 6-pin and one 8-pin PCIe connector.

The slimmed down GeForce GTX 295 is said to prepared for a May release.
